Heart Lake & Wright Mtn.

On our recent adventure to the ADKS, I had a chance to paddle out onto Heart Lake for a little fly fishing after our hike to Wright Peak. Within minutes of putting the boat in, I see these bird like mayfly’s popping out of the water. The conditions were sunny, 70’s, and breezy. Normally the fish would’ve been losing their mind in this situation, but instead it was the birds that were enjoying the feast.. Not a whole lot of action. Managed to grab a Brookie on a Royal Wulf but, in all fairness, most of my time was spent trying to get shots of this fly. Nevertheless, you can’t complain when you’re surrounded by awe inspiring wilderness like this.  More adventures to come! Cheers
